He subsequently became Chief of Joint Operations at Permanent Joint Headquarters and served as Vice-Chief of the Defence Staff from May 2009 to July 2013 before becoming Chief of Defence Staff. On leaving the Armed Forces, he became the Constable of the Tower of London and was made a Crossbench Peer in the House of Lords, where he serves on the International Affairs and Defence Committee.

A panel discussion between Mr Sanjay Jha (National Congress party spokesperson) and Mr Anil Dhakar (Founder of the Literary Fest in Mumbai). We were flooded with a vibrant audience. A very well attended evening with many provocative questions. “ Were the young losing faith in the Indian constitution”? A special thanks to Mr & Mrs Jolly for their generous sponsorship.
